Trenchless technologies like HDD are a great way of saving trees when installing new pipelines. Projects like Cairns Rising Main K and NBN Bay Islands are two great examples of projects that prioritised, and ensured, the preservation of some beautiful old and significant trees which could have otherwise been cut down to make way for a new pipeline. By incorporating trees into trenchless designs from the start (such as via tree prioritisation on site layouts and profile and alignments), they can be preserved to provide environmental and community benefits into the future.

We’re always proud to promote the environmental chops of HDD, as well as Future-Proof Solutions’ own environmental commitment. With this in mind, the HDD team at Future-Proof Solutions got in the spirit of National Tree Day on the weekend, planting some new trees for ourselves and our friends and family. We planted a variety of new Aussie natives, including some banksia, golden wattle, and rare boronia keysii, which will provide food and habitats in the future for bees, birds, and other animals.

Every small contribution counts when it comes to the environment, and using HDD specialists for pipeline design makes all the difference. Contact us if you need help saving trees via responsible trenchless design on your next HDD project.
