FPS was pleased to provide HDD design and engineering services on these trenchless crossings as part of the Parmelia Gas Pipeline relocation works. Two HDD crossings adjacent to active railway infrastructure were required for this major gas transmission pipeline, which links the Perth gas fields with the Carnarvon Basin and Mondarra Gas Storage Facility.

FPS provided a full for-construction design package for this trenchless project, including breakover analysis, anchor block calculations, pulling head designs, settlement analysis, and vibration assessment. Comprehensive and detailed work was required to ensure that the bores would comply with strict APA and rail crossing specifications, and a compliant final steel product pipe would be delivered.

As well as design and engineering documentation, our engineers also provided ongoing engineering advice and assistance throughout construction. Contractor UEA successfully executed the HDD installations in early June 2021.
